Turn Time Wasting Activities into Successful Conversations
- Each year for the last 17 years I had a connection that has clicked on the moronic “Happy Birthday” and “Congratulations on Your Work Anniversary” messages. He has never said another word to me. I imagine he feels busy and productive, but he is just wasting time.
- On the positive side, these events do create a couple of touch points each year. If you are going to send these messages, then personalize them and always ask for a phone conversation.
